The Josey Group is a real estate team of Fathom Realty, LLC, 6841 Virginia Pkwy, Ste 103-448, McKinney, TX 75071. This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, inquiring buyers and sellers, invited clients, and team members who use thejoseygroup.com (the “Site”). Our Terms of Service govern use of the Site. Fathom Realty may also process information under its brokerage privacy policy.

1. Who is responsible

The Josey Group operates this Site. Licensed team members are sales agents of Fathom Realty, LLC.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and inquiry data — name, email, phone, county of interest, and message when you use the contact form, request a CMA, or email the team.
  • Live chat — name, email, phone, and chat transcript when you start Chat Live with Agent (Crisp). We may ask you to verify email before chat unlocks.
  • Educational chat — questions you type into xRealty AI. Those messages help us respond; they are not a substitute for speaking with an agent.
  • Client tools — if we invite you to a client portal or home-tour rating page, we may collect checklist progress, tour feedback, and notes you submit about a transaction we already have with you.

Information collected automatically

  • First-party analytics — a cookie named tjg_aid (up to about 400 days) stores a random session id. We record pages viewed, referrer, campaign tags, approximate location derived from IP, hashed IP, browser type, and whether a form or call-to-action was used. We use this to understand how the Site is used, not to sell ads.
  • Security — IP address and similar technical data to reduce spam and abuse on forms.
  • WordPress cookies — if you sign in to the team Hub, WordPress sets authentication cookies required to keep you logged in.

Social account connections (team members)

When a Josey Group team member connects TikTok, Meta (Facebook or Instagram), LinkedIn, X, or YouTube through the Site, we receive the identifiers, username or display name, and access tokens that platform provides. We use that connection only to publish our own listing videos, neighborhood tours, and market updates to the connected account. We do not collect other people’s TikTok videos, followers, DMs, or address books. The team member can disconnect the account at any time, which stops future posts from this Site.

3. How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and provide real estate brokerage services
  • Schedule showings, send listing information, and manage active client files
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site
  • Publish marketing content the team creates, including to authorized social accounts
  • Comply with Texas real estate record-keeping, advertising, and license-law requirements

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the practice:

  • Fathom Realty, LLC — our sponsoring broker
  • Service providers who host the Site, send email, provide live chat (Crisp), fonts (Google Fonts), or MLS/IDX search (NTREIS / Matrix)
  • Social platforms you or a team member authorize (content and captions we submit for posting; tokens those platforms issue)
  • Preferred vendors you ask us to introduce (lenders, inspectors, and similar partners on our Resources page)
  • Legal and professional — when required by law, TREC, a court, or to protect rights and safety

MLS listing search runs in a third-party IDX frame. That provider may collect its own data under its terms when you search homes.

5. Cookies and similar technology

The public Site uses a first-party analytics cookie (tjg_aid) and may load Google Fonts. Live chat scripts load when you click Chat Live with Agent, not as a floating bubble on every page. You can block cookies in your browser; the Site may still function, but analytics and login will be limited.

6. Retention

Inquiry and client records are kept as long as needed to serve you and to meet Texas real estate and tax record requirements, then deleted or archived. Analytics events are stored to operate the Site. Social tokens last only while an account stays connected or until the platform expires them.

7. Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, or ask us to stop marketing emails, by writing team@thejoseygroup.com or calling (469) 774-3370. We will verify the request before acting. We may retain information we are required to keep. Team members can disconnect social accounts under Social Hub → API Connections.

Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to know, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising as those terms are commonly defined.

8. Children

The Site is for adults considering real estate in Texas. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Security

We use HTTPS and restrict Hub access to authorized team members. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Do not send Social Security numbers or wire instructions through the public contact form or chat.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be posted on this page.
